These are the arrival gift bags that my croppers received at my Aloha Crop this past weekend. I got the idea from the fabulous Kelly Rizzo! She gave me an adorable one on our cruise so I wanted to use the same idea for my bags. The bags were purchased at Target. They originally had pink ribbon in them. Like Kelly, I simply cut the pink ribbon out and replaced it with our Sweet leaf ribbon. I then used a combination of Footloose and Dotty for You paper to decorate the bottom of the bags. The tag, I actually designed for my Secret Sister on the cruise and it adorned the bags perfectly. To create the tag, I used the Dimensional Elements tags, and partnered with the Art Philosophy cartridge so the size was right. The tag was inked in Lagoon as well as the sentiment inked in the same color. The flowers are from the Paradise Just Blooms Collection; the twine also from the Paradise Baker's Twine and the little starfish is from the Seaside Wooden Shapes. I used mini-glue dots to hold the tags in place. Wouldn't these be perfect for a pool party? or for a Hostess gift?

Is there a 12 step program for Pinterest?
If so, I think I need to find a meeting. Seriously, though, I recently discovered Pinterest, and am addicted to it! I have found inspiration, wonderful recipes and just a wealth of ideas. Love, love, love it! It has also proved to be a few moments of stress therapy within my day...just a few moments to relax and let the days worries float on by. At least for a few minutes.
This picture is of two ideas that I found on Pinterest lately. One was to decorate the Hershey kisses with circles. I chose to use the Sunset and Smoothie polka dot pattern from the Dotty for you paper pack, and cut them to 3/4" with my Art Philosophy cartridge. Then my mom so graciously attached them to the kisses. This was on pin that I saw, and adapted to my needs. The second was filling the scoop/shovel with candy and adding a tag that reads something about digging...mine says "Just Dig Scrapbooking". The buckets and scoops coordinated with my circle paper delightfully.

Fish Bowl Treats!
I am excited to share the little treat bags that I created for my daughter's last day of preschool!
To create them, I took clear treat bags that are rounded at the bottom (verses straight ones) and filled the bags with blue gift shred. Next I added some adorable, brightly colored little fish candies into my "water". I tied the gathered part of the bag with bright blue (almost Close To My Heart Lagoon colored) raffia and added the tag. I made the tag with the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, White Daisy Cardstock and the Dotty For You paper pack. The stamp set is sooo cute...it is C510 Under the Sea which is just $13.95! I stamped the fish with Black ink onto the patterned paper and then cut the fish out and glued it to my tag. Next, I wrote the sentiment, "Congrats! You "ofishially" are a Kindergartener!" and added three of the Blue Green Sparkles for the little water bubbles. This was such a cute and fun project to create and presented quite the wow! factor.

Sassy for Dotty - Paddle boarding style!
This layout is one that was available in my Dotty Open Workshop on Saturday. I pulled out the shades of Lagoon and Sweet Leaf and went from there. Water can be challenging to work with at times, so I pulled from the colors of some of the gals swimsuits. My goal was to have a simple, and "clean" layout so as to not distract from the pictures--many of which were from a distance.
The layout itself is from when I learned to Stand Up Paddle Board in Hawaii a few months ago. This was one of the highlights of the trip and my camera reported in as taking over 100 pictures in the few hours we were there. So, stay tuned in my blog to see the photos of my husband on his first attempt, and of our entire group with Ingo Radamaker.

The layout design is: Open Forum from Imagine. For my Ultimate Scrapbooking Challenge, this adds one more design, so I have finished 80 layouts and have 70 to go.
Supplies used: Dotty for You paper pack, Lagoon Exclusive Ink, Dimensional Elements tags, Paradise Bakers Twine, Paradise Just Blooms Flowers, All Out Adventure Rub-ons (White Daisy), Lagoon Mini Medleys, Lagoon Cardstock, Sweet Leaf Cardstock and Color-Ready Irrestibles Lots of Dots.

Sassy for Dotty - day 22 - You're a Star Scientist
For this layout, I used the same color scheme from the Dotty for you paper pack as I did in day 21. I really love how the two colors compliment each other. For the stripes, I cut the Sunny Yellow strip off and just used the Sunset and Lagoon stripes. I added a combination of buttons from the Mini Medleys and Cricut cut the badge. The layout design is Bits & Pieces from Imagine. I have not used this design in my challenge to date, which makes 79 layouts completed and 71 still to go.

The journaling reads: "A fun autumn afternoon playing in the leaves of our front
yard tree! Nicholas and Abby pushed
leaves together with their hands until the pile was half their height and then
enjoyed every moment of jumping into the piles!
Their play lasted for several hours until the dark forced them inside
but not before they used their “scientific studies” to compare leaves – colors,
sizes, textures and so forth. Nicholas even
tried his hand at climbing the tree to retrieve some of his comparison leaves. A very naturist afternoon!"

Sassy For Dotty - Day 21 - Orange u Fun?
A play on words quickly became the title of this "orange" themed layout..."Orange u fun?". The Sunset and Lagoon polka dot papers from the Dotty for You paper collection coordinated perfectly with my pictures. It is hard to believe that this little munchkin is getting ready to graduate from Kindergarden now...where does the time go? One thing for certain, with three children, I am so thankful that I keep a journal of the cute, and sometimes, not so cute, things that they do and say so that when I do go back a few years later to scrapbook the pictures I have the words, like Gabey's little "song" that I quoted in my journaling to help capture the memory completly.
Left Side.
Right Side.
Materials used: Lagoon and Sunset Mini-Medleys, All Out Adventure Rub-ons (perfect for adding a title to metals), Dotty for You Paper Collection, Sunset and Lagoon Cardstock, and three cute kids! The Layout design is Simple Contrast from Cherish. I have not used this design in my challenge, so for My Ultimate Scrapbooking Challenge, that makes 78 layout designs completed and 72 to go.
The journaling reads: "
Yes, you are quite the “fun”
little boy! I mentioned to you that we
were going to have a fun “orange” lunch on this day, and you made up such the
cute little song…
”I
fun, I fun, I fun….fun, fun, fun. I fun,
I fun, I fun, with you”.
You were so proud of your little song;
you had to “teach” it to Abby and Nicholas.
And you were right; you were fun at our luncheon. We had a special orange lunch just
because. Each of you colored your own place mats
and we had an entirely kid-friendly, ORANGE lunch…Mac and cheese, cheese
doodles, oranges, and of course, orange-drink.
Mommy will remember these spontaneous moments forever. I love you."

Sassy for Dotty - Day 20
Since I am still up, thought I would go ahead and post one more card that I made this weekend with the Dotty paper collection. I love the inclusion of the ribbon on this card! It OH, SO Makes the card!
The card design is Name Plate and is from Wishes. The finished card size is 8" x 3 1/2". The wide Sweet Leaf Ribbon was adhered in the "whiter" space of the pattern so that it blends right in. The flowers are from the Paradise Just Blooms Paper Flowers. The corduroy button is from the Sunset Mini Medleys.
My Ultimate Scrapbooking Challenge, 188 card designs completed and just 20 left to go!

Sassy for Dotty - Day 18
This spring, Close To My Heart introduced these adorable milk cartons, but I haven't spent much time playing with them until this weekend. I wanted something cute, and self-contained, for Nicholas' teacher for Teacher Appreciation week and I thought this container would be super cute if filled with cards. I played and measured and discovered that the milk carton would hold eight 3" x 3" cards and envelopes. I used the Dotty for You paper pack, the February Stamp of the Month, Sunset and Lagoon Exclusive inks, Sunset Mini-Medleys, Paradise Baker's Twine, and the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to embellish the carton and in creation of the cards. I am excited for Nicholas to take it school on Monday and am hopeful that his teacher likes it!

Sassy for Dotty - day 17
Today's Dotty project is a card that I made for my niece's 2nd Birthday. I have been wanting to create a tiered cake card for quite awhile, but never seemed to find the right combinations. For this card, I used the Polka Dot sides of the Dotty paper and the Paradise Just Blooms Paper Flowers with a Smoothie brad as the flower's center. The finished card size is 5" x 7". The little pennants, which are quite the hot trend currently are stamped and cut out and "hung" on a piece of Baker's Twine that is also Smoothie. The card design is Three Tiers from Wishes. I have not used this card design before, so for my Ultimate Scrapbooking Challenge this takes me to 185 designs completed and 23 still to go. This will be one of the cards that we create in Card Club on Monday night. Stay tuned this weekend to see the other cards!

Sassy for Dotty - Day 16
Although the lighting wasn't very good, this is a card that I created for my son Gabriel. All three of my kids have field trips tomorrow and sadly I can't be in three places at one time. My Mom is going with Abby, and I with Nicholas, and although Granddaddy volunteered to go with Gabey, his class already had their "chaperon limit". He was pretty sad tonight so I thought I would tuck this little card into his lunch bag for him to find at lunchtime. The finished size is 4 1/2" x 4 1/2".

Sassy for Dotty - Days 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15
I am playing catch up a little this evening for being sick so I thought I would share a card class that I am teaching next weekend. The class is a "simple" card class perfect for the beginner or the seasoned card maker who wants to make some quick, but cute cards. The cards are all made from the same card design...just 8 different variations. The sentiments: they are all from the same stamp set, making the stamping portion simple and fun. The colors - spring and summer inspired: Lagoon, Sunset, Smoothie, Sweet Leaf, and Sunny Yellow. More class details to follow.

Sassy For Dotty - Day 8
Today's card was inspired by a colleague, and CTMH independent consultant, Joelle Hiller. She created a beautiful Mother's Day card that was just delightful, and it inspired me to create this card, and an altered vertical version. Want to create your own rainbow card? You can make a complete set tonight at the Fun For Everyone Crop! The crop begins at 5PM and will be held at the Timberville Moose Lodge. Crop cost is $2. Creating a card set of this card will be the optional project (for an additional fee).
Supplies used: Dotty for You Paper Pack, Bitty Pearl; Lagoon, Sunset, Smoothie, Pear and Sunflower Exclusive Ink pads.

Sassy for Dotty - Day 7
Our family has had a crazy few weeks and I have had to step away from my Sassy for Dotty sharing, but things are getting back to normal, if indeed that exists, so I hope to be able to pick up where I left off. This is a fun card that combines the Stamp of the Month from February (still one of my favorites), a few embellishments, the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge and a few embellishments. The result: quick, simple cuteness!
Materials used: Dotty For You, Sunset cardstock, Lagoon & Sunset Mini-Medleys, February Stamp of the Month, Sunset Exclusive Ink.

Sassy For Dotty - Day 6
Tonight's card is one of my all time I can't remember where I first saw it, but I have used it again and again and it always turns out super cute.
And now for SASSY for DOTTY special!
For supplies I used the super adorable turtle stamp from the Footloose Workshop To Go, the Paradise Bakers Twine, Lagoon and Sweet Leaf Exclusive Inks, Liquid Glass and of course the Dotty for You paper pack. The Baker's Twine is wrapped around the flap of the card then tied on the front so there is nothing to hide/cover and all of the polka dots on the Sweet Leaf paper are dabbed with Liquid Glass.
