30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 28

Day 28 – I am thankful for the Boys and Girl Scouts, or in our home: Tiger Scouts, Wolf Scouts and Daisies.  I am thankful for the organizations themselves, what they stand for and all the opportunities they provide for our children.  I am thankful for the adults who give so freely of themselves to make the magic happen.  I am equally thankful that being a part of scouts is important to my children as scouts played an important role in my husband’s life.  Especially with my boys, I love seeing that my husband becomes just as excited as my boys when scout night is upon us.  I hope that they will follow in his footsteps and earn their Eagle Award and Abigail her Gold award.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 27

Day 27 – I am thankful for having had the ability to, and the opportunity, to travel.  I love discovering new places and have been blessed in my life to have been able to travel to so many places… Italy being my favorite by far.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 26

Day 26 – I am thankful for our sweet and angelic pets (note, they are rarely angelic).  I am thankful for their unconditional love and for their companionship; their tolerance of the children playing with them, lap cuddling and even their individual mischievousness.  Both find ways day after day to delight us and we are blessed that they are a part of our family.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 25

Day 25 – I am thankful for having the ability to, and loving to bake.  Not saying that I am by any means fantastic at it, but I enjoy baking, find it stress relieving and love sharing what I bake with the ones I love.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 24

Day 24 – I am thankful to be a Buckeye!  I am thankful for TBDBITL and having been a part of a group that celebrates such amazing excellence, pride, and traditions, I am thankful our family finds celebration and passion for supporting our Buckeyes. And this year, more than ever before, I am thankful for social media such as Facebook that has enabled us to celebrate Michigan week with our dear Buckeye friends far and near!  What a blessing to be a part of the Buckeye nation!

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 23

I have gotten behind in posting my layouts this week as I have been under the weather much of the week.  So please bare with me as I post "belated" layouts.

Day 23 – Today, the day after Thanksgiving, I am grateful for my three very special women who were the most amazing of role models to me as a child, a young girl, and even now as a woman: my Great Aunts Margie, Cleo, and Mama Dot .  I am thankful for them just being them,  for loving me unconditionally and for making me feel like I was the most special girl in their world. I have precious memories of Maude letting me have the first biscuit, strolling the gardens with Mama Dot for that perfect tomato, or waiting at the window for Margie to arrive on Christmas morning.  Through their love and generosity they illustrated  to me the type of woman I have aspired to become and were the namesake of my daughter Abigail Kniceley.  And although most of my aunts are now with our Heavenly Father, and I miss them dearly, I will never forget them and will continue to celebrate their legacy with my children.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 22

Day 22 – I am thankful for time spent with family.  As my brother shared at dinner this evening, our family has been through many trials and heartaches in the past year, but here we all are on Thanksgiving together – with food on our tables, warm homes to stay in and family to help keep us strong.  I am thankful to be reminded that despite the challenging times, we have each other and have so very much to still be thankful for.
I created the above layout for my 30 Days of Thanksgiving but then decided that I liked it so much that I would duplicate the layout, just changing the words, and print copies out for each of my children and my niece Addison.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 21

Day 21 – I am thankful for my scrapbooking clients for their continued support. They are the HEART of my business and I am so thankful that they have allowed me into their lives. I am blessed that many of my scrapbookers have become my dear friends and for the relationships, and family, that we have formed together. I love sharing my crops with my scrappers and have so much gratitude for each of them!

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 20

Day 20 – I am thankful for my nephews Joshua and Andrew.  They are growing into quite the young men – each active in their chosen sports, band and scouts.  Although I don’t see them very often, I am thankful to be able to keep up with their lives through Facebook, and family stories.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 19

Day 19 – I am thankful for my husband’s parents.  They are wonderful, attentive grandparents to my children, and my children adore them.  They are Buckeyes at heart and by far, the biggest Buckeye fans I know (Go Bucks!).  I am blessed to be a part of their family.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 18

Day 18 – I am thankful for the presence of music in my family’s lives.  I am thankful that my husband can share his passion as the Choir Director in our church; that my daughter can share her beautiful voice in children’s choir and that all of my children have developed a love for creating music.  We are truly blessed that music plays such an important role in our lives.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 17

Day 17 – I am thankful for our church.  I am thankful for the feelings that overcome me when I walk through the doors.  For the serenity and peace I feel when I am within its walls and for our church family who have welcomed us, and our children, with open arms.  I am grateful for our Pastoral family who have been so supportive of our family, for the choir for their beautiful voices, and the family, for being just that, our church family.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 16

Day 16 – I am thankful for the Elementary School that my children attend.  The faculty, the support staff and the principal are amazing – they take their role with our children to the very highest of levels and have been beyond fantastic.  They continue to exceed our expectations with their care and concern of our children.  The staff specializes in making every day special—this week, they had a formal Thanksgiving dinner for all of the families to share with their child.  We were blessed that both Jay and I could share this time with our children.

30 Days of Scrapbooking - Day 15

Day 15 – I am thankful for my parents.  They are not only my parents who have guided me through life, but also my best friends.  They support me in whatever adventures that I find myself into and have been a source of inspiration and knowledge through my journey of life.  They are the first that I turn to in times of celebration, sadness, frustration and joy.  They have been a wonderful support system to my husband and me with our children and with life.  I love them dearly and I am so blessed to have them.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - day 13

Day 13 – I am thankful for my precious little niece Addison: such a delightful little girl who fills the room with sunshine the moment she enters.  She brings me an abundance of joy and happiness and I cherish each moment we share.  I am forever blessed to be her “Auntie”.

I found that I loved the top layout of my favorite niece so much (ok, well, she is my only niece but that is not the point!) that I decided to "tweak" the layout and create a second one to give Addison for her scrapbook.  Love that Studio J enables me to do so!  When creating this layout, I chose my favorite three photos and used them in color and then all of the supporting photos who clashed the paper or featured pictures etc. I changed to sepia tones.  Love, love, love it!  This is actually one of my favorite layouts that I have created in a very long time.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 12

Day 12 – I am thankful for my Grandmother.  I find it heartwarming that no matter how old I am spending time with her, and being surrounded by her love, just makes life seem better.  She is my grandmother and I love her with all my heart!  I am so blessed that she loves me unconditionally beyond my flaws.  I love her laugh, her smile and her spunky personality! I am thankful that I have so many memories with her.

30 Days of Thanksgiving: day 11

Day 11 – I am thankful for sand beaches and the oceans that crash on them.  I am thankful for that perfect feeling of tranquility that can only be found here; for the ocean breezes, the sounds of the waves, the smell of the air and the waves rolling across my toes.    I am thankful for the breathtaking views and my complete joy that I experience when at the shore.

30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 10

Day 10 – I am thankful for Mr. Gabriel!  Gabriel is so full of continuous energy!  He is at times is mischievous and strong willed but parallel with that he is such a sweetheart: my cuddlebug who has this amazing compassion and love for animals-in particular, his kitty and Polar Bears.  He has these beautiful eyelashes that when he bats them, they melt my heart and a smile that charms.  I am so thankful for you Gabey Luke!
