Create Kindness cards - Love

Today, I am continuing to create kindness by sharing cards that I have created with this adorable kit. This particular card adds more color than the previous two cards, and of course, if you are creating them on your own, you can change the colors, or the sentiments, to your colors of preference.

The finished card size is the standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

Instructions to create this card:

1.  Cut two 1 1/4" x 4 1/4" strips of Pansy Cardstock.  Emboss them with an embossing folder,  of your choice, and adhere to the top and bottom edges of the card fronts.

2.  Cut piece of Lagoon cardstock to 3" x 4 1/4".  Adhere to the card front so that it is centered between the two pieces of Pansy pieces.  This should be flush with the left and right of the card base.

3.  Cut a pennant to 1 1/2" x 2 1/4" from the Create Kindness patterned piece.  Next, cut a pennant in the 1 1/2" end.  Adhere the flat edge flush with the top of the card base approximately 1/2" from the right card front edge.

4.  Stamp the Create Kindness - Love stamp with Black Archival ink onto the pre-cut White Daisy Circle.

5. Color the stamped image as desired with the Turquoise Blue, Leaf Green, and Lavender ShinHan Twin Touch Markers as shown, or alter as desired.

7.  Adhere the colored circle with 3-d Foam Tape directly below the pennant.

8.  Tie a bow, and knot ends, with Thistle Baker's Twine (retired - can substitute White Daisy Baker's Twine - either left white or colored with Thistle Exclusive Ink Pad or re-inker).  Adhere with a Mini-glue dot below the sentiment circle.

9.  Write a sentiment on the inside of the card and share with a friend, stranger, or loved one!

Create Kindness Smile Card

This is the second card that I created with the Create Kindness card kit.I love the bright and cheerfulness of the colors - to me it just sings happiness!

The finished card size is the standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

Instructions to create this card:

1.  Cut a piece of Lemon cardstock to 2" x 5".  Cut a flag from one of the 2" sides.  Adhere flush to the top edge of the card base and 1/2" from the left edge of the base.

2.  Cut piece of Willow cardstock to 3/4" x 4".  Cut a flag from one of the 3/4" sides.  Adhere flush with the top edge of the card base and 2 1/8" from the left base edge.

3.  Adhere the 3" x 3" Willow and Lemon striped square (from the Create Kindness Card Kit)  to the card 1/4" from the top card edge and 7/8" from the left card edge.

4.  Stamp the Create Kindness - Smile stamp with Black Archival ink onto the pre-cut White Daisy Circle.

5. Color the stamped image as desired with the Leaf Green, Golden Yellow, and Golden Green ShinHan Twin Touch Markers as shown, or alter as desired.

7.  Adhere the colored circle to the center of the striped square with 3-d Foam Tape.

8.  Color Clear Sparkles with the Leaf Green ShinHan Touch Twin Marker.  Adhere as shown, or as desired. to the top left and bottom right corner of the Lemon pennant.

9.  Write a sentiment on the inside of the card and share with a friend, stranger, or loved one!

Create Kindness Friend Card

Tonight, I would like to share a card from this weeks card Club that we created with the Create Kindness Card Kit.  I, am a pink loving, "sassy" kind of gal, so this card featuring our new Raspberry color was my favorite from the class.

The finished card size is the standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

Instructions to create this card:

1.  You will note that the front of the card was embossed.  This was done on a White Daisy Value Card using the Cuttlebug and a dotted embossing folder that has recently retired, but you could easily accomplish a similar look with the Confetti Embossing Folder.

2.  Along the fold of the card, adhere a 1/2" x 5 1/2" strip of Raspberry cardstock.

3.  Using Pixie Baker's Twine (now retired) - substitute with White Daisy Baker's Twine - could color twine if desired with Pixie Exclusive Ink Pad or Pixie Re-inker - wrap twine around the front of the Raspberry strip to the inside of the card and tie with a small knot.

4.  Cut the pink striped Create Kindness base in half at the seam leaving a 3" x 3" half.  Adhere, as desired, the top portion of the card with 3-d Foam Tape.

5.  Stamp the Create Kindness - Friend stamp with Black Archival ink onto the pre-cut White Daisy Circle.

6.  Color the stamped image as desired with the Cherry Pink and Tender Pink ShinHan Twin Touch Markers as shown, or alter as desired.

7.  Adhere the colored circle to the center of the striped square with 3-d Foam Tape.

8.  Write a sentiment on the inside of the card and share with a friend, stranger, or loved one!

Play hard - Sport series

When I vend at crops, and help out at expos, the theme that I am asked about most is sports.  And most of the time, I can get creative and think of something that will "work" for a sport but don't actually have a sport themed stamp or paper to suggest.  With the introduction of Close To My Heart's Play Hard sports series that has now changed!  I absolutely love, and stand behind, these awesome stamp sets!  Not only are the three or four mainstream sports represented (Football, Baseball, Basketball and Soccer) but so are the equally important Softball, Gymnastics, Volleyball, Hockey and more!  It is a sports-mom's dream!  Now I have stamps to help me the thousands of sports pictures that I want to scrapbook!  And because the stamps are quite simple, they can be used, and re-used in many ways.  I don't even need sports themed papers - I can use the team colors with cardstock and Fundamental Papers and create that absolutely perfect layout.
