Everyday Life...

So many of us, myself included, scrapbook the milestones of our children's, and our own, lives but equally important are those everyday moments.  I love the everyday moments...whether it is making cookies with my kids or documenting their latest Lego project that they worked hours upon hours to build together.  These are the moments that my children remember therefore I believe it is important to include those "everyday life" moments in my books.

This layout gives just the opportunity to do so!  Inspired by the Picture My Life card cut with our exclusive Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge this layout, with it's included flip flaps lend to including lots of flip flaps without overcrowding the layout.  To see a larger view, click the photo and it will open in a larger window.  

The circles were all cut from the Cricut.  Note that the large circle is from the inset of the the scalloped circle seen in my Forever layout.  This was a great circle, and of substantial size, so I just "had" to find a way to incorporate it into my next layout.  Love not wasting great cuts!  The Zip Strips coordinated beautifully with the smaller arrow printed patterned paper.  With all of the pieces layered just right over one another a feeling of depth is achieved.

Heartfelt is going away "Forever"

As we prepare for the new and exciting paper collections to premier in the Seasonal Expressions 2 Idea Book, we must say good-bye to one of my favorite paper collections from the Seasonal Expressions 1 Book:  Heartstrings.  I have enjoyed the romantic and patterns and the playful hearts in this collection!  This is a layout that I created with the Heartstrings papers, our exclusive Cricut Collections and our Glitter collection.  Note:  to see an enlarged picture of the layout, click the photo and it will open in a new window.

You will see that there are hearts randomly stamped with Lagoon Ink on the Lagoon paper - this created a bold secondary patterned paper.  The heart stamps were from the C1604 Forever in My Heart stamp set.  The arrow is also stamped with this stamp set and then cut out.  This stamp set is also Cricut Compatible with our exclusive Art Philosophy which adds to the fun!

The "Forever" is  cut at 10" and the Me & You is a Picture My Life card cut at 4": both are cut from our new Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge.  Behind the Me and You cut is a piece of the Teal Glitter Paper--although a trick I must share - Mini-glue dots are the best way to adhere the two and make sure to add a few dots in the intricate area of the "&" sign.  To add additional shimmer, two strips of White Shimmer Trim are used as a border and multi-sized teal hearts finish off the glitter!  

The sparkles are actually clear sparkles that were colored with the ShinHan markers to coordinate with the paper collection -- instant color matching!!  Love it!

The focal point on both layouts is the large scalloped circle - this is cut with the exclusive Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.  I love the way it cuts and the way it adds just enough design and dimension to the layout.

Once the layout is completed, it is set up to add three 4" x 6" flip flaps as well as a 4" x 4" flip flap if desired/needed--a great way to showcase many pictures on a single layout.

Heartstrings a flutter...

Hearts are a flutter with Close To My Heart's adorable Heartstrings paper collection.  The papers can be great for Valentine's, love themed layouts, or projects that call for bright and happy colors!  This is a simple fun layout that really allows your photos to be showcased.  The layout has spaces for three 4" x 6" horizontal photos and one 4" x 4" photo -- of course, you can add to those by adding Flip Flaps to the layouts.  

Note that within the pennant cluster, there are also several strips of Shimmer Trim (White and Red) that are clustered as well - these add just a little bit of shimmer and shine--a fun addition.  Any embellishments can be added for the final touch --I used Pink Glitter Gems.  The title is a simple Cricut cut from Close To My Heart's exclusive Artiste' cartridge and is cut out of White Daisy.  For my personal layout, I plan to continue the title "to the moon and back" to the right of the pennant cluster on the right page in the pink color.
