Thank "ewe"!

Wanted to share the thank you cards I made for my sister-in-laws baby shower a few weeks ago. They coordinated with her invitation, and I (hopefully) made enough for all of her thanks yous! I made 12 of each design. I adore the simplicity of each of the cards. For the inside sentiment, I had an acrylix stamp made that said "Thank ewe for blessing us with your gift"...to coordinate with the little lamb. I also had a stamp set made that said: "Made by Aunt Tonya with Love" for the back of the cards. I love both of the custom stamps...and am sure I will get much use from both! And, what I great option that Close to My Heart offers--the custom made stamps can be for oh so much more than just addresses!

Simple, but sweet.

I am still in love with the Topstitch papers! For this card, I used one of the B&T papers that I haven't really created with yet. I love the detail of the stitching in the circular patterns. And since it brings in the colors of the Heavenly Blue and the chocolate, it is perfect for baby cards...especially if I want the card to be non-gender specific! This particular card was for my Sister-in-law's baby shower this past weekend. The layout design is Curtain Call from Wishes. Supplies used were: Chocolate & Heavenly Blue exclusive inks & cardstock, Heavenly Blue brads, Forever Love Stamp Set, and the Topstitch Level 2 Paper pack. Finished card size: 4 1/2" x 4 1/2".

Some Bunny Love!

Sending some bunny love this Easter is easy to do with this adorable stamp set! I just cannot get enough of them! They look adorable colored in with markers or watercolor pencils! These particular cards were designed with simplicity as they are a part of a Mom & Me Kid's Easter Workshop that I am teaching on Sunday. In fact, Nicholas even helped me color in the bunny's basket on one of my samples! And let me just tell you how excited he is for this workshop! Anytime he can go "to work" with Mommy, makes him one delighted little boy!

Oh so Heaven sent!

A baby is such a blessing! I find it hard to scrapbook my children's newborn pictures: it is not that I do not love the pictures, but actually quite the opposite. The photographs are so completely priceless to me that I struggle with journaling words that will express my love for my children and what I was feeling at that point in our lives together. I am not a fan of any picture of myself pregnant, or post baby, but I adore this picture of myself with Gabriel. To me it speaks louder than any words that I can write.

Workshops to Go at their finest!!

CTMH has outdone themselves again with the Topstitch Workshop To Go! The exclusive layout design is delightful and the papers just be to be used for baby pictures! At least, they did for me! I love the versatility of the papers as they can be used for a boy (as I did here) or a girl, or even for non-baby projects!

My creation of this particular layout has special meaning to me as I asked my husband to journal for our son about his birth...I think it is important to record his memories and thoughts for the children, not just my own. My husband never ceases to amaze me as his words were perfect!! His words ensembled with the photographs and the layout will make this a layout that I am sure Gabriel will cherish forever.

Anticipation...a sneak peek!

The Launch of CTMH's new Spring 2010 Idea Book is almost here, so I thought I would post a little sneak peak of my favorite Paper Collection: Topstitch! I love this collection! It shouts "baby" to me...and because of the pinks and the blues, could easily be used for boys and girls! Here, I altered a Memory Keeper box to make a keepsakes for my brother and sister-in-law who are expecting in May. I adore how the box turned out! I also created a simple coordinating journal with our new Journals! To see more of this beautiful collection, visit my website when it goes live January 1st!
