Honey Bunny Digital Files = amazing flowers!

The Honey Bunny digital file collection from Close To My Heart has captured my heart ever so completely.  This collection features a layout and then additional images.  The simplicity of the flowers combined with the colors of the collection and an adorable pair.  I recently used these images in my monthly card class and wanted to share them here.   The beauty of a collection like this is once you have paired, and selected the colors, the embellishments, the images and concepts together for a layout or card set, you can use the same elements to create the opposite: either layout or card set - as the coordination part is already done!

And here are two additional art collections that I created using the same Honey Bunny digital files.  Like I said, I just can't get enough of their simplicity and loveliness.

First, is the Bloom & Grow Layout.  This has very few alterations from the original file.  For this layout, I used the beautiful Pink Glitter paper for the lattice overlay.  My goodness does it pop!  I found that this particular glitter paper was a little more challenging to work with and cut then CTMH's regular glitter paper so a few Cricut mishaps were made...where the full overlay didn't cut, or because it was a 45 minute cut, if the internet went out momentarily then the full cut stopped and couldn't be re-started.  However, this turned out to be inspiring as I didn't want to waste the partial lattice's!  I then incorporated the "oops" pieces into the 5" x 7" shaker cards that you will see later in this post.

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness...Layout

Hello Darlin'...so Americana, so patriotic, and so absolutely "Darlin'.  This paper suite is perfect for everything summer and or patriotic!

I adored the "sassy, sassy" layout so much that I decided to use the design again to create a layout with Hello Darlin'.  I tweaked the words, added a Flip Flap shaker and there you have it!

Here are a few of the details that make the layout:

The "firework" design was cut with the Hello Darlin' Digital collection.  Although the paper collection is retired, the digital collection is still available.  The "firework" was cut with three colors: Sapphire, Periwinkle and White Daisy.  Following layering with Thin Foam Tape, the White Opal Liquid Pearls were added to the points of the Sapphire tips.

The title was cut out with the Cricut.  Coordinating colored cardstock was adhere to the backside of the Cricut cut overlay followed by the overlay adhered to White Daisy cardstock.  For the "white" word, the space was left empty so that the White Daisy cardstock would show through.

A 3" x 4" vertical flip flap was converted into a shaker for the 3" x 4" vertical photo. The shaker is filled with double sided glitter paper in Sapphire, Scarlet and Periwinkle.

Note also the White Opal Liquid Pearls that are added to the intersections of the plaid paper squares.

Falling For Fall Layout

Fall is upon us!  The brisk breeze, the falling leaves, the breathtaking colors!  I love every moment of it!  This layout was created to capture those precious moments.  The overlay with cut from Close To My Hearts digital art file Pumpkin Spice (see below for the images included in this file).

Our new Wooden Arrows were used when creating this layout.  The packs include a variety of arrows in different shapes and sizes.  The arrows were inked with the Harbour Exclusive Ink.  

Although not included in the kit (but can be added to the kit), the wooden letters were used for the title.  They too were inked with Harbour ink.  These can be added to your kit, should you desire.  Here is a picture of the letter assortment that are included for those who want to design a title -- this allows you to determine if you need one or two sets of the alphas.  My kits do include a glitter cut version of the title I chose.
