Day 13th - Rawr!

It means "I (heart) you in dinsouar" don't ya know?  This is the title, and theme, of today's Sassy 25 Days of Christmas layout.  Major cute alert - I must warn you!

Note: to see a larger version of this layout, click on the layout and it will open in a new window.

I have been eyeing these little dinos for quite sometime (Dinosaur Faces Cricut Collection) and because I know of three little boys that are dino-crazy! So I finally put my ideas into action and created this layout using the Something Fierce paper suite. The greens come out much brighter than they are in reality but you get the idea! The green is actually a green and blue geometric pattern and it looks so stinkin' cute as the dino's heads.

To create the dinosaur heads, I sliced the main part of the head from my background paper, backed the image with the green and blue geometric paper, and then adhered the facial features on the top layer.  Then, because I wanted them to really pop, I adhered the entire dinosaur piece with the mat with Thin 3-d Foam Tape to the base.

How cute is this T-rex's tongue??  This was a watercolor type print that was in the Something Fierce paper.  I thought it was so perfect for the texture of a tongue!  lol!

"Out the door dinosaur!"

What is about dinos that capture the heart of children?  I remember when my children were in this stage and EVERYTHING was dinos!  And now, my nephews are in the same stage!  Love it!  And I can't help but love Close To My Heart's adorable take on dinos in their Something Fierce paper suite.  Whimsical and filled with brought vibrant colors that make the heart happy!  Not to mention the cuteness of each and every dino!  I am a little late to the game playing with this suite as it is now retired but I just cannot get enough.  The good thing is although it is indeed retired, many of the elements are still available while supplies last so you can jump of the the cuteness opportunity!  Click here to shop Something Fierce!

Here is a layout that I created to celebrate my nephews love of everything Dino!  I printed my photos in black and white which really made them pop!  To see a larger image of the layout, simply click the photo and it will open in a larger window.

How Did They Do That? It is so all about the triangles!

Last week I shared the first or two layouts that I was teaching for my How Did They Do That series.  This morning, I want to share the second layout - which is my absolute favorite!  The color combination, and the design of the left page just jumped out at me and I had to figure out how to, and to actually create the layout.  This layout is found on page 143 of the Seasonal Expression 1 Idea Book -- which by the way retired tomorrow (April 30th) so if you fall in love with any of the supplies, as I did, you will want to order them right away at: www.tonyasheridan.ctmh.com.

Here is the original layout which was just a one page layout:

And here is my adaptation of the layout with the addition of the left page:

I did alter the title from "our whole world" to "his whole world" as I plan on using the layout for pictures of my son playing baseball.  To see a larger image of the layout, simply click on the layout and it will open in a larger window.

Here are some photos of the details of the layout which completely make the layout in my opinion:
