Introducing my new Later Sk8er Workshop and Cutting Files!

I know several of you have seen my sneak peeks over the last few weeks, and I hope the final result is all that you anticipated!  I can finally say my new Later Sk8er Picture My Life 10 Layout Workshop and Cutting Files are finished!  (Note: to see the layout collection in a larger view, click on the photo and it will open in a new window.

This was a "huge" project for me and I must say that I am very delighted with the end result!

So what makes this different than your previous workshops?

Selections offerings:  This workshop is structured differently than workshops that I have taught before.  There are three options.

1.  You may take part in the actual class (Part one - offered at the Holiday Inn in Harrisonburg on Saturday, June 6th from 1-4 and Part two - offered at the Hill's in Broadway on Sunday, June 14th from 1-4PM) with one of the kit options below ----OR----

2.  You may make a $25 purchase (before shipping and tax) on my website (www.tonyasheridan.ctmh.com) and I will send you an e-file with the Workshop Instructions
and Cutting Instructions for your use.  Then, you can create the layouts at your own pace.  Note: for sister/brother consultants, I will also include a copyright release so that you can offer the workshop in part, or in full, to your own customers.

3.  Purchase the supplies (either partial -- exceeding $25--or in full) from me directly and receive the e-files.

Materials used:
Retired Later Sk8er B and T (patterned paper) - 2 sheets.  Alternate option- print these two sheets in CTMH's Studio J, substitute another B and T paper from a current paper pack with the same colors or Cardstock.

Z3041 Seaside Sequins Assortment
Z3042 Coral Sequin Assortment
Z3056 Later Sk8er Ala Carte Picture My Life Cards

Exclusive retired and Speciality Bundle-  because some of the speciality items are from larger packs, I have created a speciality bundle that has the pieces that are needed to create the layouts. Understanding that you are receiving just the items from the packaging that you need, you are literally saving well over $100.  Available in limited supply, this bundle includes:  2 sheets of  Later Sk8er patterned paper, bulk Grey and White Baker's Twine, bulk White Enamel Stars, a full pack of Green and Blue Epoxy Bubbles, bulk Seaside and Coral Sequin Assortment, bulk Teal Shimmer Trim, bulk Black Arrow Washi Tape, Outdoor Denim Tiny Alphabet Epoxy Bubbles, Green Glitter Paper, Pear and Outdoor Denim Paper Fundamentals,  bulk Pro-Player metals and bulk Aqua Dots. Essentially, this bundle includes everything needed to create the layouts with the exception of the PML Cards and Cardstock.  $35.00.  (Add $5 for shipping if applicable).

Complete kit - with ALL of the needed supplies.  Like everything in one place?  This is a great option for just you!  The kit will include all of the cardstock, speciality items and the exclusive retired bundle needed to create all 10 layouts!  Eliminates the endless searching to find all of the used supplies, purchasing larger packs of cardstock that will only be partially used and is offered at a small discount as a benefit of purchasing the entire kit.  $80.00.  (Add $8 for shipping if applicable.)

You may order directly on my website, directly with me, or if you already have the products on hand you can use those, or similar items to create the layouts.  You may choose to substitute solid cardstock for the speciality paper to lower the cost of the supplies if desired.  The same would go for the retired items.  For retired items, an alternate option is also listed if you choose not to purchase the bundle, or once the bundles are sold out.

Supplies needed to create the layouts:
Liquid Glass (for adhering Sequins)
Bonding Memories Dual Action Glue Pen
3-d Foam Tape
Fine Tip Scissors
Corner Rounder
Adhesive of Choice
12" x 12" paper trimmer
Not required, but would be helpful:  How-To books- Make It From Your Heart Vol. 1 and 2 and Imagine.

CHOICES!  The Ala Carte Picture My Life kits include:
44 - 4" x 6" Cards (2 each of 22 designs)
78 - 3" x 4" Cards (3 each of 26 designs)
That being said, the possibilities are endless!  Note, that in the Workshop Kit, there are 2 Soccer layouts, 1 Baseball layout and 1 Basketball layout.  The sports cards are in the same quantities so, you can modify the Soccer layout to a Football layout simply by interchanging the cards.  Not in need of the "sports" themed cards - use the more general cards for the same layouts!  So many choices!  And you will have extra cards left that can be added, used in additional layouts, for greeting cards, lunch box notes etc.  Plus, the awesome thing about the PML cards is that they are uniform in style so you can certainly use these cutting guides, with substitutions for colors etc and use with the Seaside, Chantilly or any of our other sets of cards - which opens an entirely new ream of possibilities!  Truly there is no limit!

Here is just a sampling of the Later Sk8er Picture My Life cards:

On-line Coaching!  Should you get "stuck", I am available to help!  Simply, send me an e-mail and I will talk you through the obstacle at hand!

Visualization.  Some scrappers like to see layouts without pictures so they can vision their own photos and stories on the pages while others prefer to see the layouts complete with photos, titles and journaling. Both are available with this workshop kit.  Each day this week, I will post a completed layout with the original one here on my blog so you can see how I placed the photos etc.  As they are posted, links will also be added to this post for easy reference.

Here is a closer look at the layouts in the workshop kit:  (note: for larger views, click on the photos and they will open in larger windows)

Love Your Layout: February 2013

This month's Love Your Layout tutorial is fantastic!  Wish I had known it was coming and watched it BEFORE I ironed out the details to create my own layout!  But it makes the creation of the layout so much easier!

I was fascinated with the Later Sk8er Studio J layout that is in the new Spring 2013 Idea Book.  It is just so boy!  I created the layout for my boys in a afternoon!

I will be introducing a new Studio J Club for my clients later this weekend but this layout, and this format will be a teaser for you!  Check out the exciting details later this weekend!

You can see this layout in a larger view by clicking the layout itself.

a Sneak Peek...at Later Sk8er! Gabey Style.

So, here it is!  My official "sneak peek" at one of Close To My Heart's new Spring/Summer Paper collections Later Sk8er that will be released on February 1st.

As a mom of two little boys, I have to tell you, this paper collection is a MUST HAVE for scrapbooking boys!  The papers are brilliant and bright!  Featuring the shades of:  Lagoon, Outdoor Denim, Pear, Slate and White Daisy...they just shout all boy from the rooftops!

So the first layouts that I created are of my boys and their first Pinewood Derby Races.  This is Gabey Luke's layout.  Notice that his Derby car is a Polar Bear (I know, for those that know him...go figure right?).   The fun in this layout is definitely in the details!  And to make this collection, there is a corresponding key on Close To My Heart's Artiste' cartridge!  BONUS!

The journaling reads:
"Gabriel's first Pinewood Derby brought much pride and excitement for the boys.  Gabriel was the designer and architect of his Polar Bear car.  He definitely should have earned an award for the most creative/unique car (of course, that is just Mommy's opinion!)!
When asked how he created his Derby car, this is what Gabriel explained:  "I drawed the car on the paper.  Then Daddy copied it on the block of wood.  Daddy cut my car with the saw.  Grandaddy watched.  Then we painted my car white.  Next, Grandmommy drawed it on the white car and then she painted Percy's face and paws.  Then we added the wheels and my car was ready to race.  When my car raced, my car always got in second place and in the last race it got in last place."
