Did you ever see an elephant fly?

Why yes, I have seen an elephant fly!  At the Dumbo ride at Disneyworld.  This layout was designed just for that for my family, but I have included an alternate title of "zip-a-dee-doo-dah" for those who have other "magical" plans for this layout!

The layout has a balanced mixture of bold Disney colors, Minnie's signature polka dots, and black glitter for pizzaz!  Partner that with with the intricate scalloped borders and fun patterned circles and it is magic in the making.  Of course, the layout doesn't have to be for your Disney photos - there are many other possibilities by just changing the title.

I love how the large patterned circle compliments the little circles and polka dots throughout the layout!

Magical "Love This" Flip Flap Layout

Each year, at Close To My Heart's national convention, they hold a layout contest for their consultants.  Participating in this contest is one of my favorite parts of the convention experience!  This is my once a year chance to create a layout with no limits - no holds bar to speak; to be as creative as I wish without regards to cost, or product availability; or time.  This year, the layout contest was focused around Disney's movie Inside Out which was also the theme of our convention.  The challenge was to create a layout about one of our core memories and how it is affected, or impacted, our lives.  I chose to reflect on our family's LoveWorks Journey and how discovering that first sculpture created this journey for our family and family together time.  

The layout features many flip flaps, circuit cuts and lots of little accents and details.  In addition, I created two little flip flap books on top of the layouts themselves.

My layout was not one of the winners in the layout contest, but the pride that I had for completing the layout, my way, was enough for me!  Complete pun included, I simply "love" the layout!

Such Big Smiles!

There is nothing better, or more powerful, than the smile of a child and the smiles in these photos were absolutely priceless to me!!  It's certainly Magical!  From all of my hundreds (yes, literally hundreds -- probably more like thousands) of pictures that I took at our Close To My Heart Convention this year, the photo on the left page of the layout with little Rylee smiling is my absolute favorite and the one that I couldn't wait to preserve!  A huge shout out to Close To My Heart and our friends Mickey and Minnie for helping create these adorable smiles!

To do so, I chose to "tweak" one of the layouts in the Magical Workshop Your Way.  I am so happy with how it turned out!  Of course, I added extra embellishments and "Minnie-fied" it...but that's me!
