How Did They Do That? New Class Offering!

With the introduction of each new Idea Book, I teach a class that I call "How Did They Do That?" where I teach the ins and outs of a layout that graces one of the pages of the book. For this Idea Book, I have decided to re-create the hexagon layout that is on page 95. I did take some artistic freedoms and altered the paper collections and embellishments but maintained the makeup of the layout.

I will be teaching the class at my signature Shamrock Crop at the Mimslyn Inn in Luray, VA on Saturday, March 22nd at 2PM. Non-crop attendees are welcome to attend as well, or the class is available in kit form. To register for the class or to purchase a kit, e-mail at: inallsassiness@gmail.com.

Artbooking Made Easy: Nursery Rhymes with a surprise!

Close To My Heart's newest Artbooking Made Easy Episode was shared today on Jeanette Lynton's Blog and upon watching it, I immediately noticed a cutie pie (ok, well two cutie pies)that I recognized--my little girl and husband were in the photographs in the "Hello World" layout! What a fun surprise!

Trims upon trim...

This evening I wanted to share one of my make and takes for my Open House on Sunday. In creating the cards, I used and created, several types of trim to adorn the cards: Teal Shimmer Trim, Washi Tape, and Zipper Lace (minus the zipper). The hexagons are cut from the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge and the stamp set, Big Hug, is one of our new stamp sets that was introduced on February 1st and the ink color featured is Lagoon. You can learn to create this fun card at my Open House!

I have also had several request for some new and fresh card kits, so I have made this card into a kit. The kit includes all of the materials to create 8 cards. January Make and take...and just in time!

Tomorrow, if the weather forecasts are correct, we might just be "walking in a wonderland" so I thought I would share my make and take for this weekends crop for my attendees so they can take pictures during the snow, or stay inside where it is dry and warm, and locate pictures from previous snows. Your choice of course.

To create this layout I used: X7175B Frosted Paper Pack, Z1799 Silver Shimmer Trim, Z1812 Small Sparkle Flourishes, Z1752 Small Sparkles, Z1906 Artbooking Cricut Cartridge. The layout design was taken from 9042 Make It From Your Heart Vol. 2.

The photograph sizes are: (six) 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" (matted on Whisper) and (five) 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" that are positioned where the Colonial White squares are holding their places.
