More cards for Fall...

Acrylic cards meet Liquid Glass...results: beautiful!

It was difficult to capture in the photograph, but there is Liquid Glass on the outlines of all of the flowers. The outlines of the flowers are almost like a pencil drawing so when the Liquid Glass was added, the flowers just popped!

Other supplies that were used: Splendor Level 2 Paper Pack, Irrestibles Pizazz, Texture tools, Heavenly Blue and Moonstruck Exclusive inks, Corner Rounder and the Hot Diggity stamp set.

Continuing on with the Hot Diggity stamp set, here is a card with the little owl! Owl's seem to be the big trend right now, so of course, Close To My Heart is right there with the trend! We have several owl sets, but this is my favorite little owl...he just has so much character in him! This is the third of 4 acrylic cards from my card club that I am teaching on Wednesday (2 sessions--the first is at 1PM and the 2nd is at 6PM; cost is just $10). The layout design is Center Circles from Wishes.

A little birdie told me...

Still loving the little acrylic cards and the fun Hot Diggity stamp set! The little birdie is popped up on foam squares. My next animal is the owl...can't wait to create with him!!

When creating this card, I used the design Attention Getter from Wishes. Because of the scalloped edges, the design needed to be altered a bit, but well worth it! That is what "tweeking" or "Tweeting" is all about and what makes CTMH's books so much fun! A hoppin' great time!

I just returned from a trip to New Jersey where I was fortunate enough to assist in the Scrapbooking Expo with my Up-Line Tina, sister side line, Barb and several other Scattered Hearts team members. The trip was an amazing journey! I found that I really can drive on I-95 although I hated every moment of it! I was blessed to be able to share the trip with some incredibly talented ladies! So I began the journey not really knowing a soul in Close To My Heart (except from conference calls and e-mails) and returned with sisters! It is a weekend I will not soon forget!

So first of all, at the Expo, we rocked New Jersey! One of the stamp sets that we used quite a lot during the course of the weekend was the Hot Diggity stamp set (love it!). It is a whimsical must have for cards and projects! This card was made with the Hot Diggity stamp, the texture tools, and the Splendor paper collection and was a collaborative effort from my roommates! Each added a little here and there, and then I fine tuned our "creation into an Acrylic Card! Thanks gals!

"Look Ma," -- HAND JOURNALING!

I know, not a common practice for me, but this layout just called for the hand-touch!

This layout was inspiring to do...I love the color combination that the Splendor collection offers, and the little frog is just too cute! Of course, he works great with my kid's imaginations at the moment!
