25 Layouts of Christmas - 2023. Layout 1.

Welcome to my Sassy 25 Layouts of Christmas 2023!  I will be celebrating the art of scrapbooking during the next 25 days leading up to Christmas and I invite you to join me!

So how does this work? For the next 25 days, I will share a layout here on my blog, in my In All Sassiness Scrapbooking Facebook Group and in my In All Sassiness Shop.  The layout will be available in kit form and quantities will be while supplies last.  Because many of the layouts are created with retired product, the quantities will vary from day to day so if you see one that you want, you will want to order it sooner verses later.  Additionally, there will be a product special that will compliment the Layout which will just be available for 24 hours. Grab, and order, the kits, and product deals that you love, select pick up at check out and then the items will be collectively at conclusion of the 25 days! Which saves you on individual shipping cost AND gives you a very happy box to open!!  A special note:  due to the roll-a-coaster ride of CTMH's inventory last December, I will be very pro-active and will placing one collective order at the end of each day to ensure I can get the product ordered. And of course, if you are one of VIP's you will receive VIP credit for all specials and layout kits that you order.

So with all of that being said, here is day one!!!

My first layout partners the beloved retired and new product all in one layout!  The two compliment each other so much that you would have thought they were created at the same time instead of several years apart.

This layout, "Priorities" was created with the Clementine Paper Suite which included the Paper pack and canvas stickers.  I then added the current Papaya Shimmer Trim (which is so beautiful) and the Toffee Glitter Dots from the Silver Bells Dots.  I adore the Toffee glitter dots with the paper - they dots bring out the pinks and peaches for complete fantasticness!  The stickers are made from canvas so the many mediums truly compliment one another.

Bubble Bath Cuties!

I am not a Creme' Brulee lover, but in the context of Close To My Heart's fall paper collection Clementine, I love the color!  And wouldn't you know, it coordinates beautifully with the absolutely-hard-to-match/coordinate with-bathroom tubs that all my children seem to have had their pictures taken in!  Once I found how beautifully the paper collection, and the Creme' Brulee color went with my mom's bath tub, I decided to do a layout for both boys.  And, I must say, that in Studio J, this is so easy as you only have to upload the pictures in to the project once and wallah! you can use the same pictures in as many layouts as you desire.  Love, love, love it!  For the layouts below, I created the top layout for Gabriel and the lower layout for Nicholas.

30 Studio Js in 30 days - day 18

Tonight I have three layouts to share.  All three layouts were created for my scrappers who attended my Fall Scrapbooking Weekend a few weeks ago -- the crop was an "Adventure" so I wanted to make sure that I documented it "appropriately" for them!  :)  Yes, my croppin' friends...these layouts are for you!  I used the Clementine paper collection which was the paper collection that I used throughout the crop for my prizes, name tags etc.; and it just so happened, that the colors Sorbet and Saddle were complimented in the colors of the Inn and worked well with our photographs. 

 

For the first layout, I had to be a little "tricky" with my positioning.  I wanted to use the photograph of the Inn however to get the entire Inn in the picture we had to take it from across the road.  The road itself took away from the photograph so I used a text box to cover the bottom part of the photo because as we know, we needed the length of the photo for the photo cell.  I also wanted Sorbet added to the right page so again, I created a journaling box, put it on the outside of the photo cells and then sent it backwards to give the appearance of a photo mat.  I also used the Tumbleweed font which to me reminded me of the time era that the hotel was from.

How Did They Do That? New Class offering!

As many of you know, each Idea Book period, I teach two -three classes called How Did They Do That?  where I teach my clients how to create a layout that Close To My Heart has designed and graces the cover, or the pages, of the Idea Book. For the first layout of this book, I featured a layout that was created in the Clementine paper collection.  The left page of the layout was featured in the book, and I designed, and created, a right page that coordinated with the page that CTMH designed. 

 

I have kits available that teach you how to create the layouts, and of course, I am available should you need additional assistance.

Softer side of Fall

I am still having my love-affair with the adorable scarecrow from the Fall Favorites stamp set (the September Stamp of the month)!  This is the third of four cards that we created in card club last week and I love the softness of scarecrow...it blends beautifully with the color palettes of Sorbet, Cashmere, Saddle and Creme Brulee' that are highlighted in the Clementine paper pack.  The card design is one that is featured in the Fall edition of Make It From Your Heart--Close To My Heart's new how-to publication.

You are the pick...

...of the patch! Here is a second card from the September Stamp of the Month, Fall Favorites, stamp set showcasing a different stamp.  I love the harvest images!  To create this card, first the images were stamped in Saddle ink, then colored with the Alcohol Ink markers, and then the outlines were traced again with Autumn Terracotta.  This added to the tones of oranges/browns and made the stamped image look all the more unique.

Cute as a Flip Flap...and a button too!

This is the layout that I taught in Chicago at the Scrapbook Expo.  The layout featured a fun new stamp set, "Buttons, Buts and Bobs", CTMH's new Artiste' exclusive Cricut Cartridge, our new small Flip Flaps and the adorable Clementine paper collection.  I provided several pieces, many that were doubled sided, for the participants to choose from when creating their layouts. The first picture highlights the Sorbet color where the second one highlights the Twilight illustrating that you can vary the look of the layout by the colors you choose to pull out from the pattern.

Introducing Clementine!
