30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 16

Day 16 – I am thankful for the Elementary School that my children attend.  The faculty, the support staff and the principal are amazing – they take their role with our children to the very highest of levels and have been beyond fantastic.  They continue to exceed our expectations with their care and concern of our children.  The staff specializes in making every day special—this week, they had a formal Thanksgiving dinner for all of the families to share with their child.  We were blessed that both Jay and I could share this time with our children.

30 days of Thanksgiving - day 4

Day 4 – I am thankful for the blessings and colors of fall. Pumpkins.  Pumpkin patches!  Corn, corn stalks, and corn mazes.  Changing leaves.  The beauty of the mountains.  Sweet smelling mums.  Crisp apples.  I am thankful that I live in one of the most beautiful and breathtaking  places where I am able to witness God’s fall beauty each, and every Autumn.

We all fall down...

Wanted to share a layout that I did of my son Nicholas when he was learning to stand up. The pictures have been in the back of my mind for 5 years ... just waiting for the right way to preserve them...and our Olivia paper collection was just the right ticket! I love it! For the layout I used the paper tearing technique (one that I rarely use! :-) and then inked the edges with just a little Bamboo ink. Other materials used: Mocha Opaques, Colonial White Waxy Flax and Color Ready Alphabets. The colors used are: Barn Red, Colonial White, Bamboo and Sunset.
