Introducing our new gnome!!

Those braids right?  That nose?  The complete cuteness!!  LOVE her!! To pieces!

I introduce to you our new (CC72327) Gnomes for Autumn Thin Cuts!  She is available during the months of August and September, or while supplies last.

So, because I just couldn't help myself, I had to use her right away in a layout, and then loved the layout so much that I made two more variations.  Oh, the possibilities!

The first is with my all time favorite Daisy, Daisy!  For this layout, I kept the base of the sunflower for stability, and then I added the Daisies from the Daisy, Daisy Thin Cuts to the top of the sunflower.  I then added two additional daisies to the left page to carry the eyes across the layout.

(to see a larger image of the layout, click on the layout and it will open in a new window).

Here are some of the details of the layout:

Again, can we focus on those braids??  I so love them!

The title was cut out of Black cs and was popped up with Thin Foam Tape which I believe truly makes it pop!

Here is one of the accent daisies.  I built each of the daisies with a different order so there would be more character.  Each included Ballerina Glitter Paper, White Daisy cs, Ballerina cs and Flamingo cs.

The second variation was created with our new Gnomes for Autumn Collection.  This is the collection that the gnome Thin Cut was designed for strutting her sunflower happiness.  For this collection, I paired the sunflower on the gnome Thin Cut with the sunflower stamp and thin cut from the Gnomes for Autumn Scrapbooking stamp & Thin Cuts to create a more 3-d effect.  This is done with the sunflower that the gnome is holding along with the accent sunflowers on the left page.

Layered sunflower details:  notice how the back cut is layered and then offset slightly - this really adds to flower!  I love it!

The third variation was created with the Hello Darlin' collection.  This was a patriotic themed collection that was available in the spring.  Instead of incorporating the firework parts of the paper, I chose to feature the rose part of the collection.

This little gnome for this version, I have named Karen - with the namesake of my mentor at Ohio State University.  She has the most beautiful long white hair and I always loved it when she wore it in braids!

Namesake aside, for Karen, I trimmed the sunflower down, but keep it for stability.  I then cut the rose from Close To My Heart's Hello Darlin' Digital collection and adhered it to the base of the sunflower.  I love how, like the daisy, it completely changed the look of her.

The title is actually double cut, and overlayed.  The bottom cut is from Scarlet and the top is Sapphire.  This allows a very slight margin (if desired) to show, almost like a shadow, so that the words pop a little more.

All three of these kits are available in my In All Sassiness Designs Shop while supplies last.  With each kit, there is the option to add on the Gnome Thin Cut to your kit or you can order her by herself by clicking here.

Love This Moment

This layout is one that was inspired by the Art Department at Close To My Heart and included in their May/June Album Retreat.  I adored the layout, and recreated it, with some tweaks, and using the Daisy Daisy colors and papers.  There are many subtle little details that really pop when you see them!  And the incorporation of the hexagons (both stamped on the page and popped up) really make a statement.

To see the details of the layout, click the picture and it will open in a new, larger window.

For my personal layout, I also added two 4" x 4" Flip Flaps to the left photo of the right page.  Inside the Flip Flaps I included my own journaling and then photos of the menu from our tea.  I wanted to include the photos of the menu, however they weren't the best of photos so underneath the flip flaps were the perfect place to "house" them.  Note: the flip flaps aren't shown as they reflect when photographing them.

Here is the layout without photos.

The bases were splattered with a circle of shimmer brush splattered with Flamingo, Clover and Ballerina Shimmer Brushes.  The hexagons were stamped directly on the bases, on popped up pieces and were also cut of Ballerina Glitter Paper.

The sub-title piece is a shaker element without the shaker: so the foam rim was used and then the Thin Cut stitched circle was cut and adhered directly to the foam rim.

For the final details, Clear Sparkles were added to the layout in clusters with the hexagons.

This layout is now available in my shop.  You can see the details and order it by clicking here.

Supplies that are current may be ordered on my Close To My Heart website at:

In All Sassiness....sassy, sassy, sassy

Want to maximize your patterned paper scraps?  That was completely me when I designed this layout for my signature Shamrock Crop in the spring.  As Daisy, Daisy sold out in unprecedented time, I needed to create a layout with wow! power but with little paper - and these 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" squares fit the bill.

This is my personal layout, with some of my favorite family pictures from our trip to Ireland last week.  Each of the photo sizes I used on the right side are standard, and each would allow Flip Flaps to be added as needed or desired.  I used a 3" x 4" Flip Flap for both the vertical and the horizontal photos but you could also add one for the 4" photo as well.

(to see a larger view of the layout, simply click on the picture and it will open with a larger image in a new window).

overlay and daisy details

journaling details from inside the flip flap

Each part of the title is cut out with the Cricut and has one of the colors from the paper pack adhered behind it so that the color will show through.  This is much easier than cutting out the individual letters and trying to align them when adhering them down and truthfully looks more elegant too.

The glitter dots are punched from Ballerina Glitter Paper with a hand held hole punch and then adhered with a Thin Foam Dot for depth.

Daisy details - white on white!  elegant & perfect!  These were cut with the Daisy, Daisy Thin Cut set.

This layout is now available as a class kit in my shop.  You can find it by clicking here.

Supplies used:  (CC11211) Deck the Palms Paper Pack & Stickers, (CC2235) Daisy, Daisy Thin Cuts, (CC2231) Daisy, Daisy Paper Pack & Stickers, (1385) White Daisy cs, (X6030) Evergreen cs, (X6040) Clover cs, (X6050) Flamingo cs, (X6036) Ballerina cs, (Z3843) Ballerina Glitter Paper, (Z3341) Thin Foam Dots, (Z2060) Thin Foam Tape, (Z3372) Adhesive Runner.  The current items can be ordered on my Close To My Heart website at: www.tonyasheridan.ctmh.com.

Living the dream together Layout - Daisy, Daisy.

Tonight I want to share with you a layout that pairs with the layout I shared yesterday.  The layout is quite simple and yet I adore it just as much as some of my more detailed layouts.  Not often do I do a layout with just vertical photos and this sketch empowers just that!

To gain a better view of the details of the layout, simply click on the layout and it will open in a new window.

Here are the details of my journaling.  Each journaling strip is 1/2" tall and the length is staggered by 1/2".  Each strip is also popped up with Thin Foam Tape which in person truly makes the journaling pop!

Here is the layout without the photos so that you can visualize your own photos on the layout.  The photo sizes are 3 1/2" x 6" which there are (6) of.

An embellishment cluster was created to add a little more character to the layout and to help lead the eye across the layout.  For this one, I used a part of the black and white gingham zip strip, which I have used in three different spaces to help with movement) a piece of the patterned paper, a sticker and enamel hearts to add texture and depth.

Strips of journaling are used with this layout.  I used more strips in my personal layout as my journaling required such (see above).  I love the flexibility of the journaling strips as you can tailor them to fit your individual needs.  each journaling strip has an enamel heart on the left end to embellish.

The title was created from two stickers altered from their original form and then clustered together.  The "together" originally had the word "time" at the end of the title and the "living the dream" was a speech bubble - which was cut into a rectangle.  They are both popped up with Thin Foam Tape and grounded ay a longer piece of the black and white gingham zip strip.  Enamel hearts are at both ends of the zip strip as well.

I have made kits of this layout which are now available in my shop with limited availability.  Click here for details, or to order the kit.

Supplies used:  (CC2231) Daisy, Daisy Paper Pack & stickers, (Z4627) Pink Enamel Dots, (1385) White Daisy cs, (X6030) Evergreen cs, (Z2060) Thin Foam Tape, (Z3372) Adhesive Runner. Supplies that are current can be ordered on my Close To My Heart website at: www.tonyasheridan.ctmh.com.

Irish Blessings!

The Lucky to Know You is a a fun, and charming stamp set that has the most beautiful of Irish Blessings as one of the stamps.  As soon as I saw this stamp set, I knew I wanted to create something special with it.  With that being said, this technique packed layout evolved!  I designed this for my signature Shamrock Crop that took place in March.  Participants were able to create each technique through the course of the weekend and then put everything they learned all together to create this layout.

Here is the layout complete with photos.  You might note that I opted not to journal on this layout - that is true.  This is the second layout in a set of two layouts of the same event and the journaling is on the other layout.  For those creating this layout, you could add journaling inside one of the flip flaps if desired.

(Note: to see the pictures better, click on the image and it will open larger in a new window.)

This is the layout with both sets of flip flaps, and the flip flap shaker elements closed.

For this next picture, the shaker flip flaps are open, and the 2nd set of flip flaps are closed.

This photo shows the middle flip flaps open.

Here are photos of the layout, and the artistic details of the layout without my photos.

Details of hearts/shamrock - these were cut with a retired thin cut and then layered together to create a shamrock.  The stem is created with both Evergreen Glitter paper & Evergreen cs to give it more depth.

Details of flip flap shaker:  the flip flaps are stacked two high.  Both of the top flip flaps have been converted to shaker elements. They are sealed and include glitter circles inside.  How fun is this right? When the flip flap overlaps a photo it creates a fun look.  By stacking the flip flaps, it provides the opportunity to include additional photos.

The bases were created by scoring and inking White Daisy cs then inking them with the Linen Ink pad and finally random stamping with 2nd and 3rd generation stamping.  Collectively, the result is amazing!  I created a You Tube Video demonstrating how to create the background paper.  Click here to watch the video.

Here are the details of the stamp set that I used:

Supplies used:  (C1967) Lucky To Know You Stamp Set, (Z3983) Tags & Tabs Thin Cuts, (Z3794) Sage Liquid Pearls, (1385) White Daisy cs, (X6036) Ballerina cs,  (Z3843) Ballerina Glitter Paper, (CC2231) Daisy, Daisy Paper pack with stickers, (X6030) Evergreen cs, (Z6512) Evergreen Exclusive Ink Pad, (retired) Evergreen Glitter paper, (Z2824) Linen Exclusive Ink Pad, (Z2060) Thin 3-d Foam tape, (Z3341) Thin 3-d Foam Dots, (Z3372) Adhesive Runner, (Z341) Mini Glue Dots, (Z3340) Dual Tip Permanent Glue Pen, (Z679). Current supplies may be ordered on my website at: www.tonyasheridan.ctmh.com.  Additional supplies needed:  Red Line Tape, 12” Scoring Board & Bone Folder - if scoring your own paper, hand held hole punch.  The current supplies can be ordered on my Close To My Heart website at: www.tonyasheridan.ctmh.com.

Because I loved the end result of the layout so much, I decided to make a few extra of the class kits to have available in my shop.  You can order this layout by clicking here.

Tonya

Peter Cottontail has nothing our our Easter Gnomes!

So in love with our newest addition to our gnome collection: the Easter Gnomes!  They are absolutely adorable.  Pair them with Daisy, Daisy, and oh my sassiness!!!

So with that being said, I would like to introduce my newest class kit which includes a VIRTUAL class where I teach you all of the techniques incorporated in this layout: and there are so MANY!

I created a coloring chart for the colors that I used to color my gnomes.  I am not very good at blending, so I colored them directly.  You, of course, could use any colors that you wanted however these are the ones that I felt best complimented Daisy, Daisy.

In this layout, I used a technique to create your own woodgrain paper by Tawnya Roberts.  My inking color of choice was Linen which gives a subtle inked look without overpowering the paper.

I also used a mosaic technique with acetate shared by Laura Beacham and incorporated those strips as accent strips on both pages of the layout.  These will be pre-done for you in the kits, however during the class, I will teach how to create them step-by-step.

I used three of the gnomes from our Easter Gnome stamp & Thin Cut set.  The shimmer brushes added such fun and shimmer to each of these!

Here is the stamp set with Thin Cuts.  It is also available without the Thin Cuts.
Here are a few photos of the details of the wreath created with Daisy, Daisy:

Supplies used:  (retired) Daisy, Daisy Paper Pack, (1385) White Daisy cs, (X6040) Clover cs, (X6030) Evergreen cs, (X6036) Ballerina cs, (X6050) Flamingo cs, (Z4682) Easter Gnomes Stamp & Thin Cuts, (CC11211) Deck the Palms Paper Pack & Stickers, (Z3843) Ballerina Glitter Paper, (Z3798) Ballerina Liquid Pearls, (Z2824) Linen Exclusive Ink Pad, (Z2805) Black Exclusive Ink Pad, (Z4588) Ballerina Shimmer Brush, (Z4224) Black Shimmer Brush, (Z3293) Clear Shimmer Brush, (Z2498) True Black Marker, (Z2485) Light Green Blend Tri-Blend Marker, (Z2521) Alpine Green Tri-Blend Marker, (Z2530) Pale Pink Shades Tri-Blend Marker, (Z2476) Fair Skin Blend Tri-Blend Marker, (Z9963) 12" x 12" Acetate, (Z3372) Adhesive Runner, (Z2060) Thin Foam Tape, (Z5024) Red Line Tape.   Additionally, a scoring board was used.  Current supplies can be ordered on my website at: www.tonyasheridan.ctmh.com.

Class/kit details:  I will be teaching this as a virtual class on May 13th at 2PM. Everyone who orders the kit will be invited to the Layout specific Facebook Group where the class will be taught and will have access to watch the replay. All of the pieces are pre-cut & pre-stamped for you and the bases are pre-scored. In the class, we will ink the scored bases to give them a woodgrain feel. I used Linen Exclusive Ink - you can use this or another ink color of your choice. The gnomes can be colored as desired, or you can use the colors that I used. Additional supplies needed are Ballerina Liquid Pearls. These can all be added to your kit in the drop down menu when ordering if you are in need of them. I can't wait to share this class with you!
