Celebrate with Party Time!

Despite the craziness of 2020 and thus far on 2021, we at Close to My heart believe there is always something to celebrate!  This Party Time paper collection, available until August in our Annual Idea Book, has so much to offer and celebrate!  I LOVE it!  I have said it before, but what I love the most about this suite is that it is so versatile!  One side of the papers is adorned with shades of pinks and oranges and the reverse side is filled with shades of blues and greens!  The perfect combination!  You can create with the more "boyish" papers or the "girly" version or mix them all up!  I, for one, am not afraid to use pinks with my boys or blues with my daughter.  Not to mention that the papers are so vibrant in colors that make you want to celebrate the everyday happenings not just special occasions!

So with all of the above being said, I decided that I wanted to create 5" x 7" cards with the Artfully sent image and pair it with the Party Time papers.  To do this, I just had to do a few alterations in Design Space.  First, I changed the size of the card, and then I created a second card to use the negative space and letter cut outs from the first card in a second card.  For those who have this Cricut collection, I am attaching my file so that you can create even more variations.  You have to have Artfully Sent to use the file, but if you do not own this collection, keep reading and I explain how you can purchase it later in this post.  Click here for the link to my Design Space file.

Oh, Happy Day Cupcake card

Cupcakes are adorable - whether it is in the sugary world or the paper world and this card is no exception!  I love the bright Raspberry cs and how well it partners with the Flamingo Shimmer Trim - they are truly a match made in sugary heaven right?  Although hard to see at the angle that I took the picture, the cupcake, which is a double layered sticker) is popped up with Thin Foam tape as is the Raspberry square that it is adhered on giving this card lots of dimension.  

The stamped sentiment is from one of my current favorite stamp sets: Sunny Days Ahead.  This stamp set is quite multi-purpose making it a great addition to your collection.

Party Time in full Flamingo!

Flamingo is such a bright and fun color!  And the Shimmer Trim just makes it look all the more fabulous!  Partnered with the cheerfulness of the Party Time paper collection, the color just makes me so very happy!!

For this layout, I used the Flamingo Shimmer Trim (cut in half vertically) to create the borders between the patterned paper blocks.  I adore how it enhanced the blocking look and truly pulled all of the patterns together. 

The fine details:  White Flower sequins with a dot of Diamond Clear Stickles in the center.

One of many great things about the Party Time collection is that it is dual sided - one side of the paper is in pink and orange tones and the opposite is in blues and greens.  AND even better, this paper collection is featured in our annual Idea Book so if is available until August 2021.
