Day 12 - Oh What Fun!

Tonight's layout is actually three 2 page layouts and 3 cards.  Created with the Christmas collection "Oh, What Fun", it illustrates that we can certainly find a purpose for product that is different from the original intent.  These layouts were posted last winter by Close to My Heart and although I stayed fairly close to the original design, I did tweak the designs and colors a little bit (I know me --NEVER!).  After creating the layouts, I used some of the scraps to create three Christmas cards to include in the kit.  I love the paper combinations overall - they are so bright and cheerful!

Circle Layout

The details in these flowers are absolutely beautiful!  Each flower is made up of 3-4 stitched circles with 3-d Thin Foam tape in between the various layers -- some circles are flat and others elevated  between different layers etc.  The leaves are created by two 1 3/4" stitched hearts - creative right?

Much like the stitched circles, the stitched hearts are quite the perfect addition to the layout.  The hearts are of various patterns, heights and sizes.  Accented by Silver Glitter Gems, they really pop!

Baker's twine details - this is attached with a fine line of Liquid Glass  and knotted at the ends.  The pieces are put down like linking logs where they overlap as they go.
