I love the more detailed and intricate designs found on the zip strips of our Close To My Heart papers - these are the top strips that extend past the 12" x 12" of the papers that double as descriptors of the name of the paper and colors included. They add so many possibilities to a project and are fabulous for cards! This is a card that I created for my monthly card class that was inspired from a card I saw on Pinterest. My apologies, for the life of me, I cannot find the original designer. I used our zip strips from our new exclusive Live Beautifully paper and the partner stamp to create this card.
1. Gather materials needed to create card. (Z2872) Whisper Exclusive Ink Pad; (Z2805) Black Exclusive Ink Pad; (CC1212B) Live Beautifully Paper pack; (CC1212C) Live Beautifully My Acrylic Stamp Set; (Z1279) Versa Mat; (Z1836) Fine Tip Scissors; (Z3312) Gold Gems; (C1674) Dreamin' Big Cardmaking Stamp set; (X254) White Daisy Value Card and Envelope Pack; (1385) White Daisy cardstock; (Z1151) 3-d Foam Tape; assorted My Acrylic Blocks and adhesive of choice.
2. Begin by inking and stamping Black Exclusive Ink on the smaller of the two rose stamps in the Live Beautifully Stamp Set. With the VersaMat underneath for cushioning, firmly stamp the image onto scrap White Daisy cardstock. Note: the combination of firmly stamping the image and using the Versa Mat should help gain a clear, complete image.
3. Ink and stamp the double leaf image with Whisper Exclusive ink on scrap White Daisy cardstock.
4. Using the fine tip scissors, cut out the rose and leaves leaving a little of the white border showing.
Add 3-d foam to the back of both pieces and set aside.
5. Cut a mask for the positioning of the sentiment.
6. Stamp the sentiment with Black Exclusive Ink inside the mask.
7. Remove the mask and the sentiment is in the correct positioning.
8. Cut pieces of the Zip Strips and the smaller patterned paper from the Live Beautifully Paper pack.
9. Cut each strip of paper at an angle and adhere to the card so that they overlap. Note: the two vertical pieces - the Gold dot piece goes down first, followed by the pink and black chevron - are adhered first. Next, horizontally adhere the black polka dot strip, then the purple patterned strip and finally the light pink ombre' piece on the top of the previous two pieces.
10. Adhere the flower and leaves that previously had 3-d foam tape added to the backs.
11. Add two clusters of Gold Gems in various sizes in a triangle shape - one to the upper left of the rose and the second to the lower right of the sentiment.
