Such a sweet card! This card was created with a previously retired mix-in paper collection as well as our Fairy Tale Magic stamp set and accompanying Thin Cut. The little fairy is simply adorable! I have been wanting to use her but couldn't find the right look or feel to partner her with then I remembered this beautiful watermarked butterfly paper and the two paired so beautifully together.
Although challenging to see in the photo (you can click on the photo for it to open up in a new window for a larger view), the butterfly paper is splattered with the Gold and Clear Shimmer Brush while the woodgrain piece is splattered with the Gold, Clear and Peach Shimmer Brushes. The fairy's dress, shoes and flowers in her hair are colored withe the Peach Shimmer Brush and her wings are brushed with a combination of the Gold in the detailed pattern of the wings and then the Clear Shimmer Brush surrounding the details.
She is popped up with Thin Foam Tape. Her head and left wing are elevated with two layers of the Thin Foam tape while the rest of her is elevated with one layer. I love how this makes her look like she is flying.
The butterfly patterned paper is cut into three pieces: 3/4", 1" and 1 1/4" and then adhered with a small space between each piece. This allows the pattern to be continual beyond the spaces.
Supplies used: (Z3704) Fairy Tale Magic Stamp and Thin Cuts, (Z3661) Peach Shimmer Brush, (Z3293) Clear Shimmer Brush, (Z3316) Gold Shimmer Brush, (Z2832) Pewter Exclusive Ink Pad, (X6044) Peach cs, (X6046) French Vanilla cs, (Z2060) Thin Foam Tape, (Z3372) Adhesive Runner, (X257) Slimline Cards and Envelopes, (retired) Mix-In Paper.
