Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

In celebration of Dr. Seuss's birthday, schools across the nation, and here close to home in Luray, children and teachers have been celebrating in Dr. Seuss' fun and quirky ways.  Today, in our schools we had "Dress Up Like Your Favorite Dr. Seuss Character Day".  Gabriel decided that he wanted to be the Cat in the Hat himself and Abby and Nicholas wanted to be Thing 1 and Thing 2.  So this is how my silly bunch went to school this morning. 

 

Each of the children took in a book-themed snack as well and of course, they each wanted something different. So, this is what we came up with per Pinterest and the wonderful web! lol.

I have to admit, I adore Dr. Seuss so I enjoyed helping the kids as much as they did orchestrating their plans.  Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!  Thanks for the memories you helped create!
