Operation Care for Our Troops Project Update:
My many thanks to so many of you for your support of our family's, and Abby's Daisy Troops, Operation Care For Our Troops Project!  Your compassion, and support has been tremendous!  We have extended the mailing date until December 5th to meet a few retailers details, so there is still time to participate if you would like.

How can you participate?
1.  Purchase a bag, or part of a bag.  The bags are $25 each after shipping, monogramming and tax.  You can also donate a desired amount towards the purchase of the bag. (to donate, use the link on the OCFOT webpage)

2.  Create hand made Christmas cards for the project.  The cards may not have glitter on them.  Include a personal message to the troops.  Please do not seal the envelopes.

3.  If you live local, and are a papercrafter, I welcome you to participate in my battery/lip balm exchange! You can exchange a new 8 pack of Duracell or Energizer (size Double A or Triple A) batteries for an Alcohol Ink Marker Set, Ink pad, or compliment of your choice. Bring two sets and you may trade for a Level 2 pack of paper. Each papercrafter may "trade" up to four packs of batteries. For those who would like to exchange Chapstick, it should be Chapstick brand (blue) and comes in two forms: one is just the stick and the second is the same stick in a plastic shell. For hygiene purposes, we need to use the one in the shell. They are about $0.97 at Walmart and are in the pharmacy section as well as at some checkouts. You may "trade" a tube of chapstick for 2 pieces of cardstock. May be repeated as many times as desired.  (see picture on my website).

In much appreciation.  For those who have been assisting with the bags, know that the unit that are receiving the bags have had some difficult times over the past week with a personal lost.  My contact has shared  that these are going to mean quite a lot more than we had ever anticipated. She also said: "You and your family and scrapbookers are pure "gems", "sparkling jewels" in an otherwise uncaring world. You have spent your time, money and efforts on a group of guys that you don't even know and I am so full of joy and overwhelmed by your kindness. Thank you just isn't enough for all you have done. We don't know what these young men are going through in these times."   She also asks that we keep the Unit under prayers during this trying time.  My family thanks each of you for all you have done!  I have no doubt that my scrapbookers are the most amazing "gems" anyway!

Sincerely,

Tonya Sheridan, Independent Close to My Heart Consultant

Wish Lists!
Do you have a list of Close To My Heart products that are on your Christmas Wish List this year?  Would you like to find those items under your tree?  Would you like for me to let your "Santa" or loved ones know about your wishes?  If so, then create a Wish List and e-mail it to me.  I can keep it on file and you can give my contact info to your loved ones OR send me their e-mail address and I can send them your list myself. I offer free gift wrapping and a handmade Christmas card for all Wish List local recipients. I also offer Gift Certificates in an adorable packaging to customers who are receiving gift certificates.  Don't forget, I also have Sassy Crops Gift Certificated that can be used at weekend crops registration or in my Crop store.

Christmas Shipping deadline: December 10th.  But remember, if you need a last minute gift, I do have quite a large inventory that you, or your loved ones, can shop from.
