Orange You Glad...

That your Mommy is as silly as you? And goes along with your silly antics? Today we celebrated the color orange at our house! It started out as a coloring idea, and when I asked what the kids wanted for dinner, Gabe said "oranges". I began playing with him...orange what? Orange bread?...and so on! Nicholas announced, "we can have all orange stuff for dinner" and the menu was collaborated from there...orange slices, macaroni and cheese, and carrots! Gabriel added the cheezies! Of course, we had to have orange juice for our beverage and orange M&M's for dessert! As silly as it sounds, it was actually quite a lot of fun! And it just reinforces to me how wonderful it is to share these silly moments with my children!

Gabey singing a little song he made up..."Orangy, Orangy, Organgy Banana...Organy, Organgy, Organgy Daddy...Orangy, Orangy, Orangy me..." It only took a few seconds before the other two chimed in creating their own lyrics as well! Silly days!

  1. Tonya, what cuties you have. I think orange day is very clever. I can see you doing lots of different colors with your boys. Too bad my girls are in college and my baby boy is 16. We do have a date to see the movie, "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak.
