Sassy for Dotty - Day 2

Tonight's card was created as an altered version of a 3" x 6" card design in Wishes called Long Layers (p.81).  I altered the card size to 6" x 6" which is a much more practical size for myself because the envelopes are easier to come by. This is also a card design that I have not used before for my Ultimate Scrapbooking Challenge which brings me to:  183 completed and 25 left to go.

It is a little hard to see, but the space in the upper left corner is actually a lighter colored rose...almost a second generation if it had been hand stamped.  I couldn't get the camera to catch it very well.  The Sunset rose in the upper right hand corner of the card and the Smoothie one in the left middle are popped up with 3-d foam as well.  Because this card has shade on shade, I also ink distressed all of the cardstock and the polka dot paper.  The inside square that the rose paper is nested inside is also popped up with 3-d tape for more dimension.

So for those who would like to re-create this card, here are the measurements:
The base is out of Smoothie and is 6" x 12" and scored at 6".  All edges are inked with Smoothie ink.
The Polka Dot strip is 2" x 6" and is also inked with Smoothie ink.
The Smoothie accent piece is 4 1/2" (horizontal) by 4" (vertical) and inked in Smoothie ink.  This piece is up on 3-d foam tape.
The Rose B & T paper is 4" (horizontal) by 4 1/2" (vertical) and is un-inked.
The sentiment "Happy Birthday" is stamped in Smoothie ink as well.
Two of the roses are hand cut out and then popped up on 3-d foam as well.  These might be in different spots or colors depending on the lay of your patterned paper.
